My girlfriend got a perscription for tri sprintec birth control about a month ago. She started taking it the first sunday after her period, and has been pretty consistent except the first week she missed 1 day. She takes it about the same time every night. She just started week 3. This morning we had unprotected sex and it was wierd because I didnt fully *** in her, but I felt a little come out even though I wasnt finished. I told her Im going to put on a condom and finish, which I did. But I am worried that the little amount of *** that probably went inside of her im guessing can get her pregnant.

My question is, with her taking tri sprintec on her third week, should this be sufficient to protect her from getting pregnant? Any feedback is appreciated

So, I read up just a little on tri sprintec, and, well, it's a little hard to say.

See, there's a line in the "how to use" section that reads: A second form of birth control should be used during the first month of use.  At first, yes, that sounds worrying, but I wouldn't be so sure.  Them putting a disclaimer like that sounds to me like the manufacturer's/pharmacy's way of covering their ass.  In other words, the second form of birth control is just a precaution, mostly for peace of mind.

Except for that line, it sounds like your girlfriend is taking the pill regularly, and that one missed day in the first week isn't going to affect the third week.

In short, I think you can breathe easy.    Besides, a small drop of pre-cum is unlikely to cause pregnancy, as it's mostly meant to provide lubrication, and to clean out the urethral tube for the main load.
