to cut a long story short,i came off depo inj abt a year ago,got my first period last oct,and started to try to concieve in nov.but havent really had a period since the first one.in dec i had a pressure feeling in bottom of my stomach,went to drs and was told i was either starting to ovulate or going to get my period.abt a wk later my breasts started being sore which usually happens abt 2 wks before i get a period(by the way i only get a period every 2 months)and the pressure went ,2wks after my breasts starting being sore i got what i thought was the start of my period,but it turned out to be 3 days of brown coloured spotting! i did a pregnancy test 7 days after it was negative,i am so confused,was i a period? if not does anyone know what could be going on?

The spotting was most likely your period.

When getting off any birth control, your body struggles to regulate itself. It hasn't been doing that for as long as you have been taking the birth control. The depo provera, in this case, was regulating all your periods for you. Now that you are off it, its like puberty all over again as your body begins to regulate the cycles all by itself.

That means changes in flow, color, and length of your periods. Not to mention when they come.

As for the sore breasts and abdominal pain, thats just your pms symptoms not knowing when to come lol. Its your body getting back into order. Nothing to worry about.

You probably won't be able to concieve in a while. Since your period is very irregular, there is no telling when you are ovulating or not. You can ovulate twice in one cycle, and none in the next. You can ovulate within the first days after your period, or the few before it.

You will have better luck conceiving once your periods become regular. Until then, expect some surprises lol
