I’m a young adult, around the teen years, and after having sex I have seen a reoccurring redness and irritation in the vaginal area and it worries me. I’m not quite sure how it goes away but it goes away an comes back, its never that bad, never spreads, but the first few times it was just redness and soreness (few weeks or so after sex) and now it has developed to a small amount of itching. I never had this issue before I had sex and now I’m seriously concerned that I might have developed something. I have considered it being a yeast infection but I can’t consume lots of dairy products because they make me sick. I don’t prefer going to a gynecologist because it would cause family conflicts I would like to prevent. Should I be concerned and go to a gynecologist anyway? There is no discharge that I normally don’t have, there are sometimes small bumps but that normal happen if I itch. I have very delicate skin and I have other skin things that happen (Like on inside of elbow) that’s caused just because my skin is fragile and thin. I would like to know if anyone knows this situation or if a doctor thinks I should go to a gynecologist, I would prefer not to because I have never had an exam, and other family correlated reasons ( I know I sound very young and immature, but please do not be angered by this post). If anyone has any suggestions or post that would be much appreciated.
