I have been having the weirdest sensation in my female area for over a month. I have been to the Doc so it is not a bladder infection or any thing he can find. It feels like I need to pee ALL the time, and there is a kind of weird pressure in my clitoris, and kind of pushing on it makes it feel a bit better...it comes in waves of severity and is so annoying and uncomfortable, and slightly painful......what do i do to make it stop?

The Doc did put me onto the Pill about 3 weeks ago to relieve period pains, could it be from that?

Im 45, and have had no kids

If it has only started since you started taking the pill it could be a rare side effect it's having, is this the first time you have ever been on birth control pill form and what brand of pill are they?

I was on the pill for a long time probably 15 years , and stopped when I was 35. Never had a problem. I can not remember the name...Im getting old, and too old for the Pill I think.
It started just before that, so the doc did some urine tests, all fine, blood tests, for any STD's all fine, then he gave me an anti-biotic, and pro-biotics, nothing has helped.

It could be that the original birth control you was on for 15 years was a different type to the ones he has put you on now, there is actually a condition that's called restless genital syndrome that can be caused by hormone changes in estrogens what most birth control pills contain, the sensation you get in your clitoris is it like when you have an orgasm from clitoral stimulation an it gets sensitive and tingly?

yes, exactly, but in a very uncomfortable way, it feels like I need to press on it all the time.
And it comes and goes in waves. read about restless genital syndrome, and my symptoms are exactly the same, but I do not know what to do about it to make it go away....

There are quite a few people on this site that have the same as you in another post here is a link to it

As far as I know by what I have read there is no real cure, some doctors use medication to ease the symptoms and some woman say it's disappeared on its own after a few months.
No one really understands what causes it other than a change in hormones an view don't really know how to cure it either, I would advise you to go back and see your doctor about the birth control he has put you on and say you think it's the cause of the restless genital syndrome you have, not all doctors actually recognise It as a condition thought, I will also pm you a website about the condition too that some have found useful.
Sorry I can't be any more help at the moment but I'll keep searching and if I come across anything else I'll post it here, it would also be nice if you could post updates as well on how yours is progressing and if you find any way to relieve it for others with the same condition :)
