I know someone who recently passed from lupis. I stumbled upon this site and started reading everyones comments. This has helped me understand lupis but I also wanted to mention right now I hold a bachelors in psychology. Because Im not a professional maybe you shouldn't take my opionion with much certainty, but I wanted to put my opionion out here: Your mood, environment (stress level, eating habbits ect) affect your brain format and how it works. I read that some people here have changed eating habbits and have had positive effects. I urge anyone who has lupis or any other disease (such as cancer) to look into different techniques to improve lifestyles. If you are depressed (which I could understand), please seek help, take vitimins. The more I am researching the area of neuropsycholgy the more I realize how much a positive low stress life can be healthier. Your environment can have a huge affect on neurotransmitters in the brain (which carry messages to different neurons). If you have a healthy lifestyle, it could make a huge difference. Like I said, this is only my interpretation of research I have read for my graduate classes. I'm not a psychologist and don't hold a license so my ideas are not as credible as most. If you want more information I would contact a therapist (for even just a consult) or a counselor, both are trained in these areas (depending on specialties). I hope this will helps someone and my heart reaches out to all of you who are dealing with or know someone who is dealing with this disease.

Thank you for the above info. Around 20 years ago my Dr. was concerned that I had Lupis, I live in a very rural area and little was known about this at the time( but since then a lot of info has come out), well anyone way my Dr. moved and I had to find a new Dr. and they could not seem to find any reason for this diagnosis , about a month ago I had blood work done and my Dr. said my Lupis count was way to high, so I am going for further testing, what should I expect for more test,ex: b/w , x-rays, scans ?
