I was sitting on the couch watching tv with my 5 year old. All of the sudden I felt nauseous. I got up stumbled down the hall, and threw up. Ever since my heart feels like its skipping a beat, my abdomen cramps, explosive, diarrhea, my joints hurt beyond belief, along with my favorite, depression. Why? I was watching tv fealing fine. Now I feel like I'm dying.

Hi, guest.

The symptoms you've described can have multiple causes, and while it's always recommended to see a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis, here are a few potential explanations based on your description:

  1. Food Poisoning or Gastroenteritis: Sudden nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramping can be symptoms of food poisoning or an infectious form of gastroenteritis. Consuming contaminated food or drink could lead to these symptoms within hours.

  2. Viral or Bacterial Infections: Various infections can cause gastrointestinal upset along with other systemic symptoms like joint pain.

  3. Heart Arrhythmias: You mentioned a sensation of your heart skipping a beat. Some heart arrhythmias can cause palpitations, which can be perceived as skipped beats. These can sometimes be associated with other systemic symptoms.

  4. Panic Attack or Anxiety: Although this doesn't explain all of your symptoms, feelings of a racing or irregular heart, nausea, and a sudden feeling of being unwell can be associated with a panic attack. Stress and anxiety can manifest in various physical symptoms.

  5. Medications or Substances: If you've recently taken any new medications or substances, they could potentially lead to side effects or reactions that might cause the symptoms you're experiencing.

  6. Other Underlying Conditions: There are many other potential conditions that can cause a combination of the symptoms you've described, such as metabolic imbalances, autoimmune conditions, or other systemic diseases.

It's worth noting that the body's systems are interconnected, so a disturbance in one system (like the gastrointestinal system) can sometimes lead to perceived symptoms in another (like the cardiovascular system). This interplay can make it challenging to pinpoint the exact cause without a comprehensive evaluation.
