continine blood test

I am going for gastric surgery but have to test negative for continine before he will preform it. I have been smoke free for a month now but have used a 0% nicotine vapor pen. Will I STILL give a positive test from this?

I know they do the urine test for smoking and illegal drugs. Does anyone know if they do hair testing as well. I heard hair testing was only for certain "groups" of people.
