I had an abortion a week ago. I have pain in my lower tummy, I'm still bleeding and clotting blood. They have me the pill to take which I've been taking a week tomorrow. But when I go for a wee there's always some slime hanging from my lady area which is a red/brown in colour. It doesn't smell very nice and no matter how many baths a day I have the smell is there and it comes through my clothes.
Do I need to see a doctor?? Please help I have a son already and never have had anything like this

I assume that you had surgical abortion and that the pills you were given are the antibiotics, please correct me if I'm wrong. It's expected for you to have bleeding and/ or spotting in few weeks following the surgical abortion - the darker the color, generally the closer you are to the end of the bleeding. Similarly, some cramping during the first week is almost inevitable, however, if you feel the pain is too strong or the bleeding changes it's quantity, those might be the signs of infection and you should see a doctor. Do you have check up scheduled already?
