hurts to the touch after 1 whole week. I am thinking it is not the person who administered the shot.

It should be report! I had my shot 3 months ago and it has been a miserable experience ever since. After getting a MRI they saw fluid build up in the joint and gave me a cortisone shot, which did not help. I'm not sure who else I can go see about this. it seems to be happening to quite a few number of people though and no know seems to be taking action.

Happy December 2012 everyone. I got a tetanus shot December 23, 2012.
I had the burning sensation and all the normal stuff they warned me about, but today I have something
very strange. I got the shot in my left shoulder high up. Was not bad. But last night I was chilled and my shoulders seemed to be aching. So this morning a took a hot shower to warm up and discovered lots of small pea to dime size round brusies on my left shoulder blade. I have done nothing but eat Christmas cookies and a little housework no shoulder or back injury. I have about 15 of these little bruises. Years ago i had a blood clot and these little bruises look like the one's I had then.
Calling the Dr. tomorrow...did not see anything like this posted. Any IDEAs any one.
Gonna start taking aspirin!
Happy 2013!

Me too. This is terrile and now it not only oainful but it is itching really bad at the site and I cannot stand to rub it. Scratching is out seriously out of the question. I was also told normal allergic reaction and about 10 days it would be better. I still have a week to go at ten days worth.

I got a tetanus injection almost 4 months ago and still have alot of muscle pain in my arm, shoulder, neck. I went back to the doctor and they sent me to the hospital for a sonogram - which showed no mass forming. Then they wanted to send me for nerve tests, saying the tests are very painful as they put needles into the different nerves to see where the problem is. The problem is in the muscle. I can still put my finger right on the injection sight without looking - just by the pain. I have found that taking extra calcium helps, but only with the extreme pain. I read that these side effects can last 3-4 months, or even 2 years, or forever. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions from people who have had side effects for many months or longer???

Had a horrible reaction. Migraine, flu-like symptoms, arm was really hurting terribly. No pain meds worked:{ Next day felt better but still had sweating just not cold spells as before. Very scarry.

I am having the same symptoms over a month after the shot. My doctor also says that it cannot be the shot, but the timing leads me to believe otherwise. I can't sleep, can't reach behind me to clasp/unclasp my bra, can't lift my arm to my ear, can't bear weight on that arm, and have pain/aching in the elbow at times, too.
If it's not the shot, what could it be?!?!
