Hi, has anyone used cod liver oil? I have been advised to take it, as it is better that omega-3 supplements.

Hi, cod liver oil is high in Omega-3 containing the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA. Find some oil freedom from detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead, PCBs and other toxic ingredients. Some have even added vitamin E to stimulate antioxidant activity. In difference to fish oil, cod liver oil is high in vitamin D. If you are not having adequate sun exposure this can be very important for you. As sunshine is necessary to have production of vitamin D in the body, if there is not sufficient exposure level of vitamin D will not be in sufficient.
