I would like to ask about Arthrotec and other pain killers used for dealing with rheumatoid arthritis. I have been using Motrin for a while but even though it was effective, I had stomach problems so I have to change the therapy and I was prescribed with Arthrotec. Why would this drug be any different?

Even though they have the same effect and belong to the same drug group (NSAID non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs), when it comes to the side effects they are different. This is because Arthrotec contains prostaglandin which production is inhibited by the use of other painkillers, which causes mentioned stomach problems. So, this drug would help you and you will not have to worry about the ulcers.
