Hi, guys. I am 13 years old and I am a virgin. I am not thinking of losing virginity yet, but I hear that many kids of my age have already done this. I have been seeing one 15 year old boy who would like to sleep with me, although I told him I didn’t mean to sleep with him yet. What do you think?

Hello. Boys will be boys! They only want one thing, so don’t mind them what they are asking from you. The most important thing here is how you fill. I think that the average age when people use their virginity is between 16 and 19. I am telling you this from the experience of the people leaving in my surroundings. I don’t know what the statistic says. I lost it when I was 17 and I think I didn’t make a mistake. I think that 13 is too much early. Bye!

Hi. Thank you for your honest opinion. I would agree with you. I will lose my virginity when I feel that I am with the right person. I think that setting the boundaries is silly. I had a fight with a girl from my class who told me that I will be virgin forever. Nevertheless, I appreciate your opinion.

yeah 13 is early. I lost mine at 16, and I've regretted it ever since. I think 16 at the very minimum, if it's with the right person. 17 or 18 would be less risky in terms of emotional health...

I will tell you I'm 21, female, and a virgin as well.. and once you get over those odd ages (13-18) I think your sexual need decreases. I've thought numerous times about it when I was younger but now days it's like "Eh."
If you're a female, generally masturbating should satisfy you. Guys just want sex constantly to feel good over and over but women seem to want more than that (it's why we're so much better educated than men, now days).
Just take time and go over all the pros and cons when you ever think about it. Think about what would happen if someone else found out (parents, friends, etc). You don't want the label 'w****' either (because I know guys that slap that sticker on).
Hope this helps! :-D

Hey. You asked about average age. Some quick research shows me that is around 16/17 in the US...with the most specific figure being 17.3 years old for females and 17.0 years old for males.
SO - for those of you that are 17 and still a virgin, and thinking you are behind...remember an average means that 50% of people did it younger than that - but that 50% of people were OLDER...so there is no race to keep up!
Good luck to all!

Hi! I'm replying to the question of the average age to lose virginity. I'm 24 and am still a virgin. The truth is that there is no average age. There's the right TIME and MOMENT. And that is after you are married on your wedding night. The most cherished treasure you have is your complete virginity: physically, mentally, emotionally and you should hold onto that by not making out passionately with someone, by groping, or having any other type of sessions with someone. Save it and guard it until you've married the right person. Don't care about what other people will say or think about you, you are on the right track to save yourself for the right person, but please wait to have sex until after you are married. You won't regret it, I promise!

The average age for an American to lose their virginity is 17. I waited until dating my boyfriend for a year and a half and I was 18 when I lost mine. In my opinion, 13 is way too young. I know far too many young teens that have unexpectedly gotten pregnant or gotten an STD ( the US has the highest rate of teen pregnancy which was more than enough to keep me from waiting). Basically, you need to have enough emotional maturity to be able to handle the huge step you're taking as well as knowing every implication of the decision you're about to make.

Hello, I am a 19 year old girl and I lost my virginity at 12. It was the worst decision of my life. So many times have I been on the verge of suicide, I can't remember them all. The thing that stops me is my 6 year old son. My parents kicked me out when I told them I was pregnant and wanted an abortion. Don't make the same mistake I did. Virginity is a good thing, and you should keep it as long as you can.

I agree, there is not age that is best. I also agree with the other comment about masturbating, some may feel inadecuate but just thinkg how much worst it can be if you have sex with the wrong person for your fist time. You will never forget. But take it from me masturbating caused some guilt the first few months but now several years later I don't regret it. I have never had sex with anyone where I regret it. I have never felt cheap or used and I enjoy sex with any new relationship I have as much as the first time. I still don't rush and I still wait as long as it takes for that first time with that new person. If it takes too long... I masturbate and love it.

I waited until I was 23 and I don't regret the waiting one bit. Loosing your virginity is a personal thing. No one can make the choice for you. The you should wait until you can handle the responsibility of it. Make safe and healthy choices. Remember that no guy should EVER pressure you into doing something you are not ready for. Waiting is a decision you will not regret.
