I had broken my leg when i was eight years old. I am now 54 years old and my hips are crooked, which makes my spine slightly curved. I also have degenerative arthritis along with two slightly bulged disks. I have back pain in my low back, between my shoulder blades and neck, but mostly the low back. I have done physical therapy many many times, tried anti inflammatory medications many times, and always end up right back where I started. This has been worsening in the last five years or so. There is this pain Dr. who told me that taking as many as sixteen advill a day indefinately could not hurt me. Many times I have been told NOT to take anymore Advil because long time use could cause liver and kidney damage. Now this same Dr. wants to do cortizone injections in three places in my spine. I am terrified, plus, how would this help the curving in my spine? I HAVE HEARD THAT CORTIZONE INJECTIONS TOO MANY TIMES IN ONE PERSONS LIFE CAN CAUSES DAMAGE, BUT NOT SURE HOW. I Have had injections in other areas about seven times in my life. I have tried chiropractic and am now doing massage therapy and am a neurolink patient as well. Nothing seems to help except pain medication. Can you let me know your thoughts on cortizone injections and their effects please? Thank you very much
