Can I use Ventolin and Advair together? See, my doctor prescribed Seritide/Advair because she said my meds were not available. I am now having terrible problems with my asthma. I am feeling pretty awful. Today I went to ER and they gave me Ventolin. I am now wondering if the Ventolin/Seritide combination will be as safe and as effective?

I have used Ventolin over Advair before. My doctor told me that the Advair is a combination of Flovent and long acting Ventolin, but if I am having trouble I take a puff of the regular Ventolin. I suppose this would be like having 3 puffs Ventolin at a time. And I often find I need Ventolin as the Advair is wearing off.
