So, I was on Loestrin 24fe for 4 months, and it only had 4 days of placebo pills. My pharmacy switched me to a generic because the price went up-Gildess 1/20. The dosages of hormones are the same, but it has a whole week (7 days) of placebo pills. I'm about a week into the second pack of the Gildess (today will be pill 7). Does the fact that my new pill has a longer placebo week make me any less protected at first? Also, I have noticed with the Gildess that I seem to get cramps around when I assume I'd be ovulating were I not on the pill (end of the first week of a new pack).
