Hi there, I hvaen't heard much good about Yaz, but I'd like to hear if you maybe know something that I don't. Care to enlighten me? I'd like to hear if you could tell me some of the stuff that you've heard. Thanks!

If anything, everyone should go see a professional about their problems. Do not wait, because it could lead to something serious.
And I haven't heard anything good about Yaz, so I suggest stop taking it and switch to a better brand as soon as possible.

Last time I was on here most of the topics were about problems with Yaz. Just recently there was a commercial about calling an attorney if you'd had strokes or other health problems because of Yaz, Yasmine and another brand. It doesn't seem to have a very good reputation :/

Oh, that's the one that they've been doing those commercials about! I knew I'd heard about it at some point but I couldn't rememember until you reminded me. Yeah, Yaz is no good news I think. Thanks for the help :)

I thought I was the only one with this outrageously absurd length of a period! I don't even recall how long it has been since I've been bleeding. It got soo bad last night night, when woke up I had bled right through my pad and my sheets to my bed. I'm outraged at this stupid pill. I was told that being on YAZ would help me with my moodiness and I wouldn't have a period. After my doctor's appointment, I was told that I'm the kind of woman that can't handle a period yet I've been on it since I started YAZ three months ago at least! Some light spotting at times, but more recently I've had a consistent bright red period and a lot of it. I have been off of it for four days now. Hopefully it will subside and I can have my normal period back.

I'm recently suffering with the exact same problem! I finally contacted my OB, because I became worried that it was just me. Mine started as brown discharge, but is now coming so heavy that I have to use a tampon! Its becoming extremely frustrating. I've been on the pill for almost a year and this is the first time this has happened.

I am going through the same pain as you have described. My request to everyone who is readying this post is to not to go for YAZ, you'r OBg will prescribe you yaz because of the big cut. This @#@#$ pill is making me bleed everyday like i am having period. Something seriously wrong wtih YAZ. I don't know how to stop bleeding and i don't trust my OBY anymore. What is the guarantee that the next pill she will offer me is any better. All they care about you is your @#@$ money.

I started my firsts pack of YAZ a little over 3 weeks ago, on the first day of my period as my doc said. But, my period just didnt stop. I had it full flow up untill recently when someone recommended that I take 2000mg of vitamin C everyday, this stopped my bleeding literally overnight. I would reccommed anyone trying it, it definatly cant do any harm! Good luck

I started using yaz about two weeks ago.. and my periods don't want to stop at all. I stopped the pill and now I don't know what to do to stop bleeding. I was always skeptical about using BCP.. but now.. NO WAY!! No more BCP.

I am also having a bleeding problem from taking Yaz.
I started taking it on the first day of my period, and I took it for about a week and a half.
I experienced breast tenderness, I became extremely moody, and then I couldn't sleep for over a day straight.
Also, since I have been taking Yaz, I haven't stopped bleeding.
Usually my period lasts for about 5 to 7 days, but it's almost been two weeks now and I stopped taking Yaz three days ago and I'm still bleeding.
I'm afraid it might be serious. Any suggestions?

Hello i have been on yaz for the past 2 years. it works wonders. the periods start on the second white and stops at the second pink of the month. i sometimes skip a day between packs. I only got bleedings if I do not take yaz everyday continously. I personally i like it. I do have a smaller appetite, i didn't put on weight and all PMS symptoms are reduced to a very normal ache. I have no hot flashes, no more cramps for 2 days, no more horrible headaches that turn into migraines, no more rush of hormones, or no more accute sense of the smell, the body is swollen like a baloon. OMG if i knew pills could help, i would. I do not mind the bleeding if i miss the periods but Hell i do not mind YAZ.

however, is there a side effet for being on the pill for years of our life (until menopause)?

thank you. It is always good to check with the OB and change pills.

hey ladies, I hope this helps: I was on loestrin for a long time and one day I notice my period just didn't stop after the four days (on loestrin you are only supposed to get it for a 2 to 4 days) I decided it was just a fluke and went on with my life. But then the next day same thing and I got cramps. This shocked me because I had never had problems, then I moody and some serious PMS with my boyfriend . I went to my campus doctor (I was in school at the time) and she hands me an oddly shaped pack of birthcontrol and said "This is a miracle pill. Take it. If it works let me know I'll write you a prescription". She was 100% right. EVERYTHING STOPPED, the bleeding, the cramps.... It was called LO/OVRAL. She said it had a higher dose and should help. I hope this helps you ladies as much as it helped me!

I havent been taking Yaz for too long (just two months) but i did the same thing - i switched from morning to night and I also wanted to skip a period. So far Ive been having a discharges everyday for more than a week! I think i prefer just going back to having my period- this was so not worth it.
