Actually I had this happen a couple of years ago. I was SO FREAKED out I went to the ER. They told me not to worry, it was a broken blood vessel that heals itself, VERY COMMON

i waited 6 days to let it heal, there was still some blood at the very end, nowhere near as much as before, the day after (today) i checked again, this time it was clean ... should i go to a doctor?
