I was wondering what would cause my semen to be brown and chunky after each ejaculation? It has just started about three weeks ago and I have never had this before. I have had no recent accidents to my testicals. Should I be real concerned with this issue or is it something that will go away?

i to have this problem but only over the past 3 days, this is the first time this has happened to me but it was preceeded with months of excessive seminal fluid with the slightest hint of sexual arousment. Went to doctors with this problem and i've been refered to a urologist but this was before the brown discharge, everywhere i read it says not to worry but the sooner i see a urologist the better and i suggest you do the same

i just noticed this morning that my semen was brown colored. this is the first time i've ever seen this. i know that my health is good because i had a recent physical with bloodwork and also a colonoscopy not more than a month ago and everything turned out just fine. this has to be from something recent. my urine is normal color or even a little paler than usual, and just last week my semen was also normal color.

I have an orange urine stream too. I was fatigued, and had joint /muscle pain the week before - worked long days on a remodel project recently. Still this stuff spooks me. What is going on?? I'm not insured. Ah, America!!
I've been on-line much about this, and mostly I'm gettind a "dehydrated" response. This NEVER happened before - I live in South Florida- I'm use to long days, and sweat, and hard work. liver? kidney? bladder? ?????
Any answers????? I don't want to waste time, and money I don't have, on multiple tests to pay a bunch of "professionals" sushi bar, and BMW payments. Just a straight answer to what is probably my problem and who I should seek help from, would be excellent. Thanks

I had this prob. Brown or pink or semen means there's probably blood getting in to it. This is called prostitas. There's no reason for it, it just happens. Broken blood vesel or something. It just takes up to a few weeks to clear out. BUT, you need to go to the doctor so he can double check to make sure it's not something else. Good luck. No worries.

Over the last few days, I've been having brown semen as well. I promptly visited my urologist and was told it's called Hematospermia. In my case it's a ruptured blood vessel that will take some time to heal, but is of no threat to my health. However, it's also a sign of testicular cancer, which is prominent among men 15-35, so I would suggest having it checked out just to be safe.

You should probably be checked for HIV infection. All those symptoms are similar, and if you have it, it is better to catch it early on, BEFORE it becomes AIDS. You should also be checked every 3 months if you are sexually active, for at least 10 years after the last unprotected sexual experience. GET TESTED ! You are potentially exposing many others to HIV.

My seminal fluid is thick and very chunky as well. Best description is a "cottage cheese" consistancy, although its somewhat bloody and burns like lightning as it comes out. It also smells somewhat strong. My best description of the smell being likened too sewage that is spilling out of a menstral vagina. Aside from consistancy, color, and smell, it actually tastes quite pleasant. I would compare it to a boiled egg dipped in Tabasco. After years of dealing with my off colored, foul smelling, oddly delicious semen; I decided to simply chop my balls off with a rusty spoon, and this seems to have solved any isues concerning my baby batter.
Sorry for the joking, but with all jokes aside;
Semen is like a finger print. No two men are identical in any way. Yellowish, chunky, clear, watery etc. No characteristic of semen will mean STD or VD, although any non-seminal discharges that are off colored or odd smelling should be talked about with your doctor. (Excluding the normal clear pre-cum) Unless you're expieriencing pain with discharge... you're fine. Oh, and drinking more water may help a little with the chunky plroblem, but again... you are you and your semen is just one more thing thats individualizes you.

Mine comes out brown but its normal consistency most of the time, I also recently recovered from an injury to my balls that caused them to turn black and blue... oooowowww. Also, during the ultrasound checkups regarding the incident it turns out I have some kind of cyst (not infectious supposedly) in one of my testicles. Is the brown just a result of old blood getting cleared from the tubes?

I know this is werid! But I am a girl. And this happend to me. And I really want to know what's wrong! But i can't tell anyone! Cause I'm not old enough to go by myself. I just got over a UTI and a Kidney Infection. The UTI grew into my kindeys and infected them. Could this be the reason? I really need answers?

To our Lady guest you have a prostate too and it could be skenitis... but I'm not a doctor, so you should probably get that checked out. For our guy guest I had a surprise one afternoon with my fiance and luckily she used to work for a urologist and her best friend still did. So I got checked out rather quickly and after the all famous prostate exam...I was diagnosed with prostatitis. Turns out hematospermia (blood in semen) is usually caused by injury to the groin/testicles or prostatitis (usually). Sooo i got a shot of antibiotics in my a$$ and a script for a month of antibiotics. This doesn't remove the "issue" since the pipes are still full of nastiness and as the infection is destroyed...well the phrase it gets worse before it gets better. Also I was informed that caffeine, spicy foods, stress, high amounts of citric acid, and sitting often are all things that can contribute to contracting prostatitis....so there went my diet and I work in lawn maintenance so "sitting" on a mower also angers the prostate.
I hope this helps some of you. I know not everyone can run off to the doctor when something goes wrong. Good luck
