Hi. I'm 20 and recently had an endoscopy where they put me under anesthesia. I'm on the birth control patch (ortho evra) and they had knowledge of this. The procedure was on wed., When i woke up today (Friday) I noticed some light blood spotting. Could the anesthesia affect the effectiveness of my birth control? Or is this normal?

old post I know but I just had rectal surgery and started my period on morning of, Period lasted 5 days as normal, and still having blood spotting in my underwear. From vagina and rectum. Rectum is definitely due to surgery, but spotting over a week after surgery from my vagina is not normal and weird to me?

I believe your body was overwhelmed.borderline shock and you bleed... I was in car crash broke lots of bonesand had massive vginal bleed....was in early shock.. .twice after long surgeries woke up with vaginal bleeding....
