one thing i have observed is that my husband's Siemens are very thick,is it normal for siemens to be thick?could it be the reason we are not conceiving?

Semen can vary in consistency. Only a semen analysis can tell you if there is a problem with it.
It is normal for it to take up to a year of regular intercourse for pregnancy to occur.
If it has been a year or more BOTH of you should see a fertility specialist. You can expect a full physical and internal exam with bloodwork. Your partner, the semen analysis.
