Hi

Thank you for granting the opportunity to raise issues regarding this issue.I have been diagnosed with having am cavious angioma bout a month ago. I have been experiencing slight symptoms of seizures and very slight headaches for the past bout a year ago.

After completing a two session radiotherapy two weeks ago ,my doctor advised me to stop with the tabs she prescribed for me. After bout a week not taking the tabs, I now started having these mild seizures again which forced me to continue taking them. I would really like to know if would be advisable to go for another radiotherapy or having an operation done or what the next step is I could take. The size of the angeioma is 1.7cm therefore my Dr. recommended the radiotherapy.

I m really not getting all the assistance from my doctor, therefore I need as much advice and assistance I can get.

Im a 28 year old male.

Kind Regards

Angelo

Hi,
Could you say what is the name of medication you were taking that helped you with seizures and headaches? Maybe it was some anti-seizure medication that had caused some undesirable effects, I doubt your doctor would have just told you to stop taking it if it was helping if she didn’t have a reason to do so. But she should have explained to you what kind of medication it was and why you shouldn’t take it anymore that is her job. Did she recommend anything about surgery or some other kind of treatment? Did you ask her about it? I don’t think you will need any radiotherapy soon after this, but really only the specialist can point you to the right way to continue therapy and if you have any possibility at all it would be best to get a second opinion.
