Diagnosed with polycistic ovaries

Not sure why your bleeding. But the doctor can give you tablets to spot the bleeding. My daughter needed swabs done an she was bleeding. The doctor gave her some so the swabs could be done.

My daughter got different symptoms than you. She has a lot of water infections an kidney problems. But i know the doctor can stop you bleeding for your hols.
The tablets were called norethisterone.
She not got results yet.
She went for swobs 10 days ago. Think ill make sure she rings tomorrow

At the time i found out i didnt have a partner. But the doctor put me on the pill, because it ups your hormone levels. An PCOS lowers it. This helped, But now all my syptoms have slowly come back over the last 12months. Iv been back to check on my overies. They arnt any worse but now i have fibroids on my womb. They are pressing on my bladder causing the pain. One look funny so the doctor has refered me to see a gyni (not been yet). She thinks it might be a polup. That will need taking away.
The problem i have now is, im 40 an my doctor wont let me have the pill anymore. She wants me to have the new coil. Marina Iv read on this site how people have had alot of problems with it... Weight gain, painfully intercause. male partner feeling it. not knowing if pregnant.
Iv gained weight cos of PCOS an i cant lose it.

Im also on a very low dose antidepressant cos of how al the symptoms have made me feel.
I do have a parnter now so need birth control.
Thinking or asking to be sterilised.
But i wil need some sort of hormone replacement. HRT has its side affects an you cant take too long.
Do you take anything?

Gosh you poor thing. I havnt put on that much weight. But while we have hormone probs we cant lose it. Someone else told me that antidepresants put on weight too as they slow down your matabolism.
My probs started 5 years ago like i said. This was the sametime i lost my mum and my marriage ended.
I often wonder if PCOS is brought on with stress.
I did wonder how the doctor was going to do swabs when you were bleeding. Glad she gave you some tabs. At least you can have a few days rest. You must be tied losing so much.
Thats not going to help your holiday tho. Can she give you more after a few days break?
My daughter did start bleeding when she stopped taking tabs an it was only for 1 day, but she wasnt bleeding as much as you are. xxx
