Hello, folks. My friend has been recently diagnosed with ear drum atresia. I must admit that this sound pretty complicated for me. I really don’t know what that is. That is why I was hoping to find out that here. Can anyone help me with this? I would really appreciate all your help. Bye!

Hi, there. Atresia in general represents the occlusion of something, usually of a canal or something similar. Most of atresias are congenital. That means that they are present immediately after birth. Of course, it depends when the symptoms will appear. Your friend has eardrum occluded. This must made some interference with hearing. He must’ve complained about this before. I hope everything will be all right. Good luck!
