Dieting industry may suffer great loss if the word comes out: Fat people are happy people.

According to a new study, slim people are no happier or more content with their lives than huge people. On the contrarary, the lives of slim people are filled with mental suffering and woes and they are more likely to resorting to extreme measures like committing suicide.

The study showed that the chances of serious depression lessened with the increase in the body mass index of a person and that an increase of just 5 kg per square meter reduces the possibility of suicide by 15%.
It is thought that people who eat more have higher levels of serotonin, which reduces depression levels in a person.

Nutritionists advise that low calorie foods aren't the only way to lose weight and point out the need of following a nutritionally balanced diet to shed kilograms the right way.
