I tool cipralex 10 mg for 3 years and I slowly slowly reduced the amount and finally 2 months ago I stopped it .I was very dizzy at the first and second week now I have it once or twice a day when I move my head ,but I am honestly telling I have all the listed side effects ,but when I discussed with my doctor she never believed that these could be the side effects .I wish I never started this medicine and I suggest all who will read this message not to start this medicine you try to find another way to cope with your anxiety or stress .

Wish my Dr. had told me about coming off of Lexapro before ever prescribing it. I would have never taken it.
If I get through this, I will never go back on it..
My first few days of weening off, I felt great great. Lots of energy, back to being me.Now, lightheaded, terrible dreams, night sweats. Hope this is over SSOOOON!

The doctors looked at the half life of the drug and didn't think all these side effects I was experiencing was related to withdrawal. It took me several years for the zapping and lightheaded confusion to stop but it did finally stop.

I have been on Lexapro 10mg for 4.5 months. I was prescribed the pill for stress related issues at work. Within a week I could feel the difference. Stress was gone! For the first few weeks I wanted to sleep as much as possible. Again the stress was gone! Then the problems set in. Along with the stress being gone I honestly didn't care about many things I should care about....like paying bills! I had late payments, I had missed payments, and my wife was very upset over the new me because honestly I just didn't care. When I came to my senses I realized I needed to do something different. I needed to get off the meds and if necessary get a new job. I stopped the meds cold turkey. Now I am dealing with mood swings and dizzy spells. I will never do this again! I will not gradually stop the meds as I refuse to put this chemical back in my body. Mentally I am somewhat strong and meditation and lots of time in the gym is very helpful. I will push through the roller coaster ride and hope it's about over. I strongly advise anyone who is thinking about using this medication to do much research before you do.

I did the cut gradual cutdown but I still have a foggy head. I have been on antidepressants over 25 years and now I have a fatty liver.

Hi Everyone, I was on Lexipro for over 10 years along with Topamax and SeriQil,... why I was on them isn't important, but what is is that after I had a head on collision in 2014 which left me unable to walk for 4 months I decided I was going to taper off all of them, 1 at a time.
I am now completely off topamax and seriqil with not to much problem. However, the LEXIPRO dear lord..... I am with all of you here that have the opinion that if our doctors informed us about this drug to the extent to which we have all learned, we would not have gone on it. Any of these drugs are horrible, unless you are diagnosed with hard core physiciatric issues like bi polar 1 etc... you should use a more healthy life style instead.
I am not as of yesterday, completely off lexipro I had my last 5 mg 2 nights ago... I have been feeling the dizziness since the 1st drop in mgs.... the dizziness is scary, you feel like you are on a roller coaster and your stomach drops... constantly. But I am taking extra vit C because I have been doing alot of research on it... and there are other vit and minerals you can take to ease the symptoms... Google this.... it helps God Bless

My dr told me to take 1/2 a pill for two weeks then stop.I have been off lexipro for approx 1.5 weeks. I have been so dizzy and disoriented. I hope this does not last much longer, it is hard to function in the work world.
