I have been on the pill for years. I'm 19 and I can predict my period down to an hour. Lately I haven't totally been taking it at the same time everyday, I have also been more stressed than normal and started working out regularly. This month my period came a week early. I continued to take my pill like normal regardless but then during my sugar pills the next week I got another heavier flow. It's almost been 20 days now. Should I be worried about illness/std or is it pretty plausible it's just from changes in my hormones?

Hi guest,

Stress and exercise can change your menstrual cycle.

I would suggest, since you had the two periods a week apart, that you see your doctor.  By itself these are not signs of an STD or illness, but changes in your cycle, especially while on birth control, should be investigated.  One of the "side effects" of birth control is helping make your cycle more regular - this is different and should be checked.

I tend to think the changes in your activity are the cause.

Hope it helps.
