I am 54 years old and have heart problems. Those started several years ago, and came with the menopause. In that period, I had symptoms in a form of a chest pain. Doctor prescribed me with ecotrin and metoprolol. He said I have angina pectoris and I am not so sure what are the meds I am using for. Do you know?

Metoprolol is used for decreasing the high blood pressure level and for relieving you of the symptoms of angina pectoris. It also prevents heart attacks.
