Effexor side effects/class action suit

Sorry, I am not real savvy with these sites, what I meant to say is I am interested in the class action suit and have experience very serious side effects and life consequences which I believe are a result of taking Effexor XR. If someone can contact me regarding the lawsuit I would greatly appreciate it.

I am a successful business woman who has seen a huge toll taken on my body and mind.  I went on this drug to help me get through a horrible divorce after 20 years of marriage and a cheating husband.  Little by little my short term memory was gone and I am trying to get off this horrible drug.  My doctor NEVER warned me of any issues with this drug.  I have been off it totally for five days now and feel like I have a dog collar on my brain and some kid has the remote control.  I have gained 20 lbs in the last two months, right after I started weening off.  We have got to do what it takes to get his med out of the public.  It is not good and I can't believe we live in America and no one can get something done to protect others.  I've been reading all night about issues and am just appauled.  I never knew any of this before and my doctor told me after one week of going to half the dose there should be no issues and that's just not the case.  I am going to move forward and do.the best I can.  Thanks everyone for the encouragement and ideas on ways to make it better.  I just hope I can still function to keep my great job I have.  Keep me posted on what I need to do to be a part of the lawsuit.

I am hoping we can find a lawyer who will help us. I keep searching and am looking into other sites for lawyers who will take on this huge pharm. Anyone having any information, please contact me Terry

Hello, I am sorry about what has happened to you. I can relate. I have been in contact with a man in Canada who has been trying to hire a lawyer, but he has been turned down by 2. I have been searching online for a class action suit that might already be in place, but am still having a hard time finding one. I would be interested in anyone who can also search. We must get this drug off the market. I just recently lost a job I started because of short term memory problems. It was humiliating as well as a loss of money. As a far as getting off the drug, your doctor is wrong for telling you to get off of the drug the way he did. You will get brain zaps and anger, etc. I got off successfully by taking out 1 more bead each day and having the help of a naturopathic dr (Dr. Valarie Nelson in McMurray, Pa) who has given me some natural things to help after I got off. They have been a life saver. I still struggle with anger issues and insominia and other things. If you want to contact my dr., she will do phone consults. Wished I could leave my email and number so we can talk to each other. I would like to do facebook, but don't have any idea how to do that. I would like you to contact me....do you do facebook? Maybe you can guide me through that so we can make contact. Where are you located. I am still hoping we can pursue this lawsuit against this company. Please keep in contact with me. Terry

Do you do Facebook or is there a way you can contact me privately so you don't have to put your story out there. I am hoping we can get a class action suit because we have all been damaged by this horrible drug. Are you trying to get off of it or are you already off? I have suffered short term memory, insomnia and anger issues. I am bound and determined to do something about this. I have heard from a lot of people who are interested. Those are only the ones on this site. I know there must be a lot more people. I need help in searching online for a lawyer who is willing to take them on. I don't even are about wiinning money, I just want it taken off the market. Please let me know if I can help in anyway...we all need to support one another.

Terryann, I mean no offense, but in many posts you have been asking for people's real name, city and state where they live and, amazingly, they give it to you. With the way things are these days, people should be very wary of giving out personal information. If there indeed is a class action being filed, YOU should be giving the name and information of the attorney handling in and each person should contact them directly (after checking their credentials with the state bar of course). Many of your posts sound like an infomercial for this so called "natural doctor" of which you eagerly give all information for. I have no problem with natural remedies as I think Effexor and the like should all be taken off the market but posting specific information just seems fishy. If my perceptions are wrong then I sincerely apologize but I for one am "unsubscribing" from this site. I wish everyone the best in their recovery efforts.

Please believe me, I have no ulterior motive. I am only wanting to help people who are trying to get off the Effexor. That is my only intention. This is how I was helped and I really feel for people who are still struggling. Since I am not permitted to include my own email, I put the name of my dr. since that information is allowed to stand on this site. She is a doctor of extreme respectibility and had told me she would be willing to help anyone else who had gone through what I have gone through. Her main goal is to help people. I know that may seem unbelievable, but it is true. Michael Fearon, who was trying to hire a lawyer, but was turned down by 2, is the one who wanted the names and city/states. Maybe it is better to wait till we can find a lawyer and then each person can contact him. The problem is finding one who will take this case. I am frustrated because of this and really want something to be done so that others don't suffer like most of us have. I do understand that giving out information is not the best idea...so that is probably a mistake on my part. I am still hoping something can be done and I am still willing to help anyone by using the same method I did to get off of this drug without any side effects.

I have been on this Poisson called effexor for 4 years. Iam on day 2 of cold turkey From this Poisson . It is f-cking hell on earth. The makers of this Poisson should be bheaded. They need to pay for all the pain this poison has caused. Lets bhead them with a crippling law siut.

Effexor is known to work effectively with depression and anxiety, but the side effects have caused concern for its continued use.

Are u still searching for people suffering from effects of Effexcor? If so, where do I send my name & info? Thanks
