Effexor XR class action lawsuit

What type of doctor determined you have brain damage? I have been dealing with word searching, memory loss, comprehension problems, spelling words, stuttering, involuntary muscle movements for 3 years now. It was like I had a stroke one day and I couldn't talk or remember what things were called and my doctors keep blowing me off. I have been on Effexor for 8 years or so. Thanks

Most of these posts are a year or more older. My life has never been the same since taking Effexor. I had horrible side effects when trying to stop taking it. I got horrible brain shivers and electric shocks through out my body and brain. I thought I was dying and going crazy at the same time. i went through a very dark and scary period in my life due to this drug and considered suicide. I would like to join a lawsuit if there is one.

Hi there,I just found this site a week or two ago and I am trying to find a lawsuit or find a lawyer willing to take on Big Pharma. (I mean I have contacted some firms after I found this site.) Im thinking that it might be a good idea to sign in with your name so that you can get updates and also like all of the other posts so that hopefully they will see it in their emails and come back top this place. I have the same story as you... been off the stuff for 3 years and I still get the symptoms, just not as bad.. or I have gotten used to them... I was on effexor 150 for 9 years, did a super slow withdrawal... I will try to make a public FACEBOOK PAGE and let everyone know how to find it.

I too have been on Effexor for a number of years until recently. I'm seeing another pysch and was taken off of Effexor. I was also taking Wellbutrin as well. The effects of Effexor was not doing the job, and yes, the withdrawals were awful. I didn't know how to explain the syptoms until I read several posts, but my brain felt it was not mine. I was in a total fog. I could barely drive most days. I didn't realize I was having withdrawals (because I was out of the drug on numerous occasions due to a job loss) and couldn't quite put my finger on what was going on. I happened on this website by accident and was surprise to hear that I was not alone.  I am happy to hear (not happy) but glad that someone is pursuing a lawsuit. I am onboard and please keep me posted as the "class action suit" prevails.

I have gone through two months of pure hell, just because Effexor didn't disclose this important information.

I have just started a class action law suit, and would appreciate it if you do the same; so that the attorney that I have contacted see that many people were affected and that it a threat:

Those two months of agony and life threatening symtopms have caused me many academic and professional opportunities, just because nobody was notified of the horrific discontinuation effects. I don't want anybody to ever experience what we went through. So, please add your experience on the link above. We can save somebody from the same repercussions, and perhaps get some sort of settlement for all the medical expenses and damages we had to go through.

I am interested. Still suffering sever neurological problems, 4 months off after 10 yrs on effexor. Muscle twitching,crawling sensations, buzzing throughout my entire body. It is terrifying and debilitating. I run a business and this has been the most challenging thing I've ever been through. Trying to stay afloat!

Long story short. This stuff ruined my life. It ruined me.  While trying to get off this drug, I lost my 3 years of sobriety from alcohol. Was charged for criminal harassment for obsessively calling someone, begging for help. I wanted to literally throw myself out of a moving vehicle at times cause I just couldn't stand it.  I lost my job, my dignity, my friends, I can't tell you how many times i was hospitalized for attempting or seriously contemplating suicide, I literally thought that I was going insane. I've been effexor free for almost 2 years now and I still dont feel like my old self.  It took me being off of effexor for a year until I was finally able to quit drinking again. My depression was a sissy compared to the living hell of a nightmare I went through trying to recover from Effexor.

Please include me any any class action lawsuit. This drug and its generic are dangerous and should be removed from the market. I am in the middle of withdrawal symptoms and after 3 weeks, I am not feeling well at all.

Please include me in any class action lawsuit too. Am going through withdrawal from this poisoned drug after trying twice before. It is a nightmare!

Hello I'm looking information about Effexor Class Action Lawsuit

I was on EFFEXOR XR for over four years...225 milligram. I got myself off of it in November 2013; however, I am unable to remember years of my life....Did not realize people had passed away...don't remember an office I had...do not remember receiving or obtaining information....apparently was like a complete zombie. I am better now but cannot remember much of anything from 2007 thru 2013.
