Hi! The force and amount of ejaculate vary widely from male to male. A normal ejaculation may contain anywhere from 2 to 15 milliliters (from half a teaspoon to a tablespoon), although 1.5 to 5.0 ml is typical. Ejaculate volume is affected by the amount of time that has passed since the previous ejaculation. Larger ejaculate volumes are seen with greater durations of abstinence. Also, the duration of the stimulation leading up to the ejaculation can affect the volume. Abnormally low volume is known as hypospermia, though it is normal for the amount of ejaculate to diminish with age. If your wife can stay a pregnant, see your doctor? He will find right cause for that.

To answer your question, the average amount is 1ml - 5ml. I had to go to a fertility doctor as my wife could not get pregnant. So, this is all straight from the doctor.

FYI, the amount of ejaculate has absolutely NOTHING to do with sperm count/getting pregnant. I happened to have an off the chart amount of ejaculate at 28ml and couldn't get my wife pregnant??? Yep, that's b/c my actual sperm count is low. See, the sperm comes from the testicles and the ejcaculation (cum) is from the prostate mostly. So all though it all comes out at once, one has nothing to do with the other. So don't worry about how much is released, that's mainly a "sexual pleasure" issue more than a "getting pregnant" issue.

Both posters above have given you very good information.
There's not much more for me to add, except, if you two are TRYING to get pregnant, try having sex NOT AS OFTEN.
That is, you don't want to have sex MORE often, but fewer time and timed right around or a day or two after her ovulation.
Also, if she counts her full monthly cycle, from period to period, and divides the number of days by two, that will be approximately the date that she is most fertile, or the egg is in the right position to get pregnant. That's the date you target for unprotected sex, once.
Now, if you two are used to sex every day, skip a day and then do it again. This will maximize your "chances" of getting pregnant by you.

If you really want to increase your male chances, don't have sex for about a week or ten days prior to her target date. That will increase YOUR sperm count on the day you have sex.

Good luck.

PS: None of this should contradict any information or recommendation from your fertility doctor. If anything, it should complement it.
PPS: Also, no sitting in hot tubs for YOU, sir, for three months prior to your attempting to impregnate her. HOT TUBS COOK SPERM, and it takes at least a month or two for the count to be restored with viable sperms. Just sayin'.

I have low sperm count and premature ejaculation. Consequently, I was unable to impregnate my wife. What is the remedy for a low sperm count and premature ejaculation?
