Did your symptoms wear off? I got an injection in the same place. My first shot. Was 13 days ago. Spent about 8 days or so in extreme pain. Started to calm down but my bp is probably through the roof. Ive had insane heart palpitations ever since. I normally have a-fib but its 100x worse. Im having hot flashes constantly and having to change my clothes all day and night. They said no side affects. Said i would be running in circles by my birthday. First birthday I canceled to stay in bed and cry. If the doctors were honest my whole life wouldn’t be falling apart right now.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing such distressing symptoms after your epidural steroid injection. While epidural steroid injections are generally considered safe and effective, as with any medical procedure, they can have potential side effects and risks.
Some possible side effects of epidural steroid injections include increased pain, infection, bleeding, allergic reactions, nerve damage, and changes in blood sugar levels. However, the symptoms you describe, such as heart palpitations, hot flashes, and changes in blood pressure, are not commonly associated with this procedure.
It's important that you contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms and determine the underlying cause. Your healthcare provider may recommend further evaluation, such as blood tests or imaging studies, to determine if there are any underlying medical conditions that could be contributing to your symptoms.
Let us know what your doctors told you in a follow-up.
