My nose bleeds very very easily.
If I sneeze too hard it will bleed.
If it is knocked too hard it will bleed (I do boxing, and get nosebleeds ALOT)
Sometimes it randomly bleeds for no reason.
When it bleeds it will bleed very hard for about 10 minutes, then will slow a bit. It takes about half an hour to completely stop bleeding...but even then the slightest knock will set it off.
When it bleeds, for the next few days it will bleed very easily.
Is this a problem, or just a vein too close to the surface or something?
Anyway to shorten the time a nose bleeds for?
Thanks.

Hi Robert,
Epistaxis (aka nose bleeds) can be a problem. A vein too close to the surface would have nothing to do with it. Being a boxer can have something to do with it. Have you ever had your nose broken? If so, that can also be a cause. If your nose bleeds alot, it may need to be cauterized and then packed. If it still continues to bleed alot despite being cauterized you may need surgery. If you have broken you nose in the past, an ENT can do surgery to repair the deviated septum, which will also stop epistaxis. If I were you I would get in to see an ear, nose and throat specialist!

hi,
well i am a generally sensitive person. when i get really hot my nose starts to bleed. but recently my nose has been bleeding more often at one point more than once a day. for the past three days my nose has been bleeding a lot around 7pm everyday. its weird. when it bleeds its as if i got punched on the nose... blood just gushing out my nose. i have never hurt my nose. i have never been really sick. but maybe the recent flu mist i took at the doctors has something to do with it? could it be caused my stress?

My 5-year-old's nose bleeds all the time. What can I do? His nose bleeds even if the wind blows. The blood is dark red and has clots sometimes.
