I had cervial fusion done in January 2008 after an MRI was done do to constant pain in my neck and headaches. The doctor informed me that I needed immediate surgery or I would end up in a wheelchair. The pain is now worse than before. In May of 2008 I was prescribed 60mg of Morphine, 3 times a day and Percocet 10/325 every 4 to 6 hours. I am now at 600mg of Morphine each day and not getting any relief. I cannot sleep at all. When I lay down my left arm goes numb and the Migraines begin. I experience Migraines which are so painful that I throw up. I have been to the ER several times for pain & they just shoot me up with huge amounts of Morphine. I was prescribed Imitrex 100mg for the migraines and it works one day, then wont do anything for the next headache. My doctor prescribed 175mg Fentanyl in an attempt to get me off the Morphine however the Fentanyl made me hallucinate and I broke out in a severe rash. I had a myelogram done in November 2009 & was referred to another neurosurgeon for evaluation. I have been told by every doctor I have seen that I will experience pain for the rest of my life and any further surgery may make it worse.
