Is it safe to remove a fentanyl patch before going to bed, for example? I have terrible pain in my ankles, knees and sometimes all the way up to my hips- due to a bout with Lyme disease a few years back.
I'm financially compromised. No SS benefits, but no job yet. Living in a homeless shelter facility.
My Doctor gives me the 100mcg patches for pain. What I found I could do to stretch the duration out was to remove the patch at night- sticking it right back on the plastic it came from- then putting it back on in the morning. Since it apparently has a fairly long half-life, I did not notice any w/d symptoms at night-none at all.
Please - any feedback would be most helpful!
