hey iv always been in sports and very active so my period was later than my mom or my sister's. i finally got mine this month, but it is abnormally long! 10 days! And now there is brown discharge. Is there something wrong with me? Why is my period this long? Will it ever be shorter?

Try not to worry, if you got if for the first time then it will probably be variable for a while. It can take a year or two for it to settle into a regular pattern. It should shorten up, give it some time and see what happens
