hey Lash,

i believe i probably answered it in another forum but since you asked i'll restate it.

Yes there is a need to retract your forskin. If you don't a waxy substance called smegma will build up and lead to irritation and or infections (you dont want that). normally forskins are able to retract after about 4 years of age how ever sometimes the penis can grow faster than the forskin durring puberty and the penis gets to wide and the forskin is not big enough to streach over it. this usually resolves as one continues to go through puberty and things start to catch up. there is a condition called phimosis which is essentially a tight forskin. doctors can fix it though a variety of ways however i would try to resolve it your self first. what ever you do DO NOT force it over the penis as it could tear which would be extreamly painful and could lead to infections. try to sit in a warm bathtub and just soak it for a while till the skin softens up then gently try to retract it (this should not be painful just a little tight) you can try to rub some warm olive oil over the skin and head of the penis as well to help it retract. If you are able to retract it MAKE SURE IT GOES BACK OVER THE HEAD OF THE PENIS WHEN YOU ARE DONE. Otherwise you could get a condition called paraphimosis which can be a medical emergency as the head of the penis can swell and cut the circulation off. this procedure could take a week or two of trying before it streaches enough to go over your head freely. If you are at all concerned just go and see your family doctor they deal with these things all the time.

(PS) once you are able to retract your forskin makesure to clean it daily with mild soap and warm water especially after ejaculating.

having your forskin retract normally doesnt necessarily chance the way you have sex but can/does make it more pleasureable. the main reason you need your forskin to retract is because of what i explained above. as far as how to streach your forskin.... i'm going to use bambie's post again because she is right on the money and i agree with her on this 100% (plus then i dont have to retype a long procedure) XD

here it is.....

" Do NOT try to do this when you are dry! This is what I want you to do for about 2 weeks, IF it doesn't improve by then you will have to see your doctor who will send you to a urologist!

1. In a very warm bath, put about 3 cups of Epsom Salts - or Bicarbonite of Soda in the water! And just have enough water to go over your thighs and soak your penis! After several minutes, gently try to move your foreskin back! As soon as you feel a twinge, STOP!! When you get out of the bath, shower off the area - as it will leave a white salty residue! Then rub some olive oil into the tip of the foreskin, and once again try gently to pull it back. Massage the oil into the skin! Do this once or twice a day, for the next 2 weeks, you can also try it in the shower, as long as the skin is warm and softeneed with the water! Do NOT try to do this if you become erect, you can cause damage! It's ALL about slow and easy. If you massage the skin, with the oil and keep the skin moving, this SHOULD work well!"

thanks again bambie!

Thanks for the question and good luck (sorry for the lengthy reply) please let us know how it works and if you experience any problems....

haha exams were ok. my physics exam was pretty hard but my anatomy and physiology exam i'm pretty sure i got around 100%. um,,, actually i'm planning on going into veterinary medicine but if that doesnt work out then yea might try for an MD. My mom is a Registered nurse so i've been around this stuff my whole life and just find it interesting. plus majoring in biology also plays a contribution. I'm also planning on getting my EMT license this summer hopefully so that should be cool.

as for retracting the forskin. yea do not do it when it is erect. especially if you cannot even retract it when it is flaccid (limp) go slow and be gentle. as for the finger i would hold of on that. if you were to try it i would pull the forskin out away from your body so there is a gap between the opening of the forskin and your penis, only so you reduce the chance of getting an infection in your bladder or urethra. if you do end up trying it i would at least to it in the bath if or use some lubricant like KY jelly or olive oil. i guess i would just start with trying to slowly get it over the glands first.

keep me updated....

Hi Lash:

To retract the foreskin, one must grab the foreskin on the shaft and pull it rearward, but do not force it. If the foreskin will not retract then you must consider leaving it as it is or doing stretching exercises to make it retractable. You are fortunate to have a choice.

It is not necessary to have a foreskin that will retract. Some men live their entire lives with a non-retractable foreskin. They can masturbate, have penetrative sex, get married, and father children with a foreskin that does not retract. Some

believe that a penis with a non-retractile foreskin has more sensation and that sex is better. One just needs to see that your partner is well lubricated before you attempt penetration. One may need to add some personal lubricant if she does not lubricate.

It depends on just how tight your foreskin is. If it is really narrow and absolutely won't retract, then you can have penetrative sex without pain. On the other hand, if it just a little bit tight, then it is likely to be forced back during sex and that will hurt because it is tight. In that case, it probably would be better to stretch your foreskin until it glides easily back and forth.

Almost all boys are born with a foreskin that does not retract. This is normal. It takes years for the ability to retract to develop. About ½ of boys have a retractable foreskin by 10.4 years of age. Many adolescents still have foreskins that have tips that are too narrow to pass back over the penis head. These foreskins may be gently stretched over a period of time to cause them to widen.

It is normal for teens to have a foreskin that does not retract. One’s foreskin is still developing. If you want your foreskin to retract (not everyone wants a retractable foreskin), then you can help it develop ability to retract by stretching it.

If you choose to stretch your foreskin, then the goal is to have a foreskin that glides smoothly back and forth so as to provide maximum pleasure.

When your penis is erect, gently pull your foreskin back against the head of the penis. As the head attempts to pass through the foreskin it will stretch the skin a little. Do this every day and in a few weeks or months your foreskin will widen and you will be able to retract your foreskin. Do NOT force retraction. Do NOT cause yourself pain.

It works by tissue expansion. Stretching skin induces “mitosis” which is a word that means “division of cells”. New skin cells are formed and the skin expands but it takes some time. The increase in size is permanent. Be patient and give mitosis time to work.

The important thing is to put the skin under tension every day so that it will grow wider.
