Im 17. and when i was younger i couldnt get my forskin back till i was about 14-15. when i did i had a build up of smegma and i washed this away. ever since the skin just under the head of the penis when it links to the forskin has been a rather red colour. also the ridge at the bottom of the head is quite red too.

I know ive had this for a while and keep putting off doctors but its got to the stage i want to do something about it. It seems like it just needs some air to heel over fully as forshin is always covering it. I think i will have to go down doctors but i really dont want a circumcision. do you think a cream would clear it up so it looks a bit more normal. i was wondering if this could be balantis but i though as ive had it like two years its likely its not.

any help would be appreciated!

Hi Jamie does this cause you any pain? also do you have a strong smell? Im thinking this just has to do with washing a little better thats all. You can get balantis from using harsh soaps too so if your trying to fix by using say dish soap stop.. Main cause is by poor  hygiene but it can even be what your mom is using to wash your clothes in ask if they have been using the same thing for an extended time.. in any case a circumcision is NOT needed and if a doctor says so Its time to find a new one...
