Hi, i am a 16 year old boy. I am sexually active but recently had a blood test for STD and i was clean. My question is, after frequent masturbation when i pull my foreskin back i notice some redness under the penis head. This occurs very often after masturbation. I clean under my foreskin daily and have been using canesten - clotrimazole for about 2 weeks & havnt noticed much imporvement. This redness come and goes. I also noticed some redness on the top of my foreskin which dried up into dry skin, this has only happend once.
Can someone please help...is this a fungal infection or? I am becoming worried any answers will be appriciated.

It could also be balanitis. It is inflammation of the penis head often presented only with redness or a head rash and it could be itchy. Sometimes it shows no symptoms. Balanitis usually clears after proper and regular cleaning and medical treatment is rarely needed.
It could also be a fungal infection. IT does cause redness and peeling and dry skin but I guess you would need a doc to figure out what it really is.

The penile redness you are describing is something you are not alone in, redness ofen attributed to vigorous masturbation or sex, dermatitis, yeast infections, psoriasis, or balanitis, a problem that causes swelling of the penis tip in uncircumcised males. Vitamins A, B5, C, and D can improve your penis’ overall health by soothing the genital skin and preventing infection. Applying a penis moisturizer or cream (many health experts suggest Man 1 Man Oil) with the above vitamins may work. It helped me! Best of luck to you.
