I always have normal periods and they're always on time. They usually last 5 days and are always heavy. My last official period was January 30-February 3. I had sex February 22 and the condom busted inside after he already had ejaculated. I took a morning after pill the next day. I got what I assumed was my period on February 28 but it lasted for a couple of hours and was light. Started out normal red and ended up brownish. I started getting sharp left pains in my lower pelvic region as well as pressure. I saw a gynecologist March 5 and had a Pap smear and pelvic exam performed. Everything came back negative including the STD tests. What could possibly be wrong? Could I be pregnant and it was just too soon to show up when I made my appointment? Getting worried here!!

Emergency contraceptive pills are full of hormones which could cause your period to be delayed, skipped, or changed for a few month until your body gets back to normal. If you do not get your period by the 1st of April take a pregnancy test. The emergency contraceptive pill is only around 80% effective with perfect use. Good Luck
