Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss – that's a significant achievement! Regarding your concerns about heart rate fluctuations, there are a few points to consider:

  1. Normal Heart Rate Variability: It's normal for heart rates to increase during physical activity, even light activity like walking around the house. However, a heart rate of over 100 bpm at rest or with minimal activity could be a sign that you need to check in with a healthcare professional.

  2. Sensing the Heart Rate Increase: Whether or not you feel your heart rate increase can vary. Some people are very aware of their heartbeat (a condition known as palpitations), while others might not notice significant changes. Not feeling a heart rate of 128 bpm isn't unusual, but the fact that it reached that level while you were at rest is something that should be discussed with a doctor.

  3. Possible Causes of Heart Rate Spikes: There are several reasons why your heart rate might spike. These can include physical activity, emotional stress, dehydration, medications, caffeine, and certain medical conditions. Since you've recently lost a significant amount of weight, your body might still be adjusting to these changes.

  4. Importance of Medical Evaluation: Given your age and the recent changes in your weight, it would be prudent to have a medical evaluation. Your doctor can check if these heart rate fluctuations are within a normal range for you or if they indicate an underlying condition that needs attention.

  5. Monitoring and Recording: Continue to monitor your heart rate and keep a record of any episodes of high heart rate, including what you were doing at the time and how long it lasted. This information can be very useful for your healthcare provider.

  6. Lifestyle Considerations: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including regular physical activity, a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and managing stress, is beneficial for heart health. However, make sure to discuss with your doctor what kind and level of physical activity are appropriate for you.

Remember, while fitness trackers can be useful tools for monitoring heart rate, they are not a substitute for medical advice.
