Post hemmoroidectomy I am 3 weeks post hemmoroid surgery. I have to agree with what many people have stated in that it is the most painful experience imaginable. I feel like I am making progress, but reading others experiences have made me a bit unsettled. I am taking 2 teaspoons of Benefibre twice daily (morning and evening) stool softener in the morning and before bed, and at least 3-4 litres of water daily along with any fiber rich food I can eat. My question to all out there who have been through this recovery is whether week 3 is too early to expect fairly normal bowel movements. I don’t expect painless, I know I am still a long ways from painless BM’s, but regarding size. My BM’s range from pinky finger width to the width of my thumb. Usually about 3 per day, in the morning. My first follow up with the surgeon was day 14 and I almost shattered the windows screaming during his digital exam. He said everything looked and felt right on track and suggested I could start applying nitrol starting after week 3. My first attempt at this was unsuccessful, I don’t think I’m quite ready, but reading about so many peoples problems with stenosis, I don’t want to wait too long. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
