I think that would be a better question to ask your doctor, or better yet, an OB/GYN.

HOWEVER, from PERSONAL EXPERIENCE I can tell you that for me it only helped manage my periods. I am 24 now and I have been on quite a few different brands of pills and to be honest, the ONLY benefit I've had from them was the more manageable periods. Other than that, I would much rather deal with irregular periods than the myriad of other horrible side effects that pills cause. I've had everything from constant nausea to migraines to nightmares to TERRIBLE anxiety and depression and NONE of those are worth it.

Remember also, with every pill you try you have a three month MINIMUM adjustment period to see if the pill really works for you and if you're not happy with it and move to a new one, it's ANOTHER three months while the doctors play guessing games until they find the right one for you.

From what I've heard, I would advise you to stay away from Yaz and Yasmin as they seem to cause TERRIBLE things like strokes and blood clots.

ALSO, you're only fourteen, that means that at MOST you've only had your period for what, three years? There's still quite some time for your cycle to stabilise- many girls only have regular periods by age sixteen to eighteen! My sister's periods became clockwork when she was around sixteen and my cousin's at around seventeen. I have a hormonal disorder so mine NEVER stabilised, but I'm quite happy with that hahaha!

Just give it some time before pumping your body full of chemicals! :)
