Hi I am a 19 year old female. Since I first got my period it has always been irregular, I was on birth control for about a year and my period was like clockwork during that time. I could even pin point around the time of day I would be getting it. Since I went off my birth control, my first period was within a week of when I was supposed to get it... this is only my second month off of it, and Im going on 2 1/2 weeks late now. I dont have a symtoms that I may be getting it either. I am sexually active and we have been using condoms. I dont think I am pregnant, although I suppose its possible. Is it common for someone who was irregular before the birth control to go back to being that way again after so long of being regular on birth control? (by the way I was on Nuvaring, if that matters)
Thanks!
Thanks!

I am confused about my periods now that i have started taking birth control pills. I'm 20 and got married in July and started them then, but ever since i have had my period come at least twice a month and when it does come, its blotchy and brown. What does this mean? What should i do?
Thanks,
MIMI

Hi
I have been on birth control since I was 16, because my periods were a mess and I had terrible cramp. I started on microgynon which sorted out my irregular periods but I suffered from terrible headaches which resulted in me coming off the Pill. When this happened I missed 3 months then bleed for more than 2 weeks. It is common to experience delays and heavy bleeds when coming off the birth pill. Just to make sure I would get a pregnancy test out the way to make sure that your not pregnant. If your really worried i would go to your GP to get it checked out.
