How to taper Trazodone? It is in capsule form and not water soluble.

Hi

I need to taper Trazodone with medical supervision, down from 100mg, which is 2 capsules.
I tried dissolving it in water and then taking 90 percent of the water but it was a bad experiment which caused severe withdrawal effects.
Then I discovered it is not water soluble.

So how do you taper down from a 50mg capsule to 45mg to 40 etc when the contents are not water soluble?
