I had suregery last friday and wow was it an expereince. I have been having the baths eating fruit etc, but have not had a bowel movement as yet. I have been able to urinate once I use a cold cloth or water is ran over the area to help with the sensation. I checked everything out toay and noticed that the area were the roids were removed is healing but there is another area close to the anus that is swollen and imflamed with puss like substance. I also noticed once I had been taking the medication for four days I developed a yeast infection is this normal or should I be concerned and contact the doctor before the four weeks..

Thanks for any suggestions

Hi:
Definitely contact the doctor before the four weeks. The concerns would be the pus (you didn't mention the color), but you did use the word infection. The swelling and inflammation you said was in a different area. Hem surgery is very delicate, and as you know, very painful. The recovery is not pleasant. However, you should take note and ask questions about everything that is outside of the "normal" expectations. Contact your surgeon right away so that your recovery process will go quickly and smoothly....I hope you will be feeling well soon.
