I too have come off the pill after 16 years. I am a runner and didn't know wether it was a running injury or menstruation problem? How did you get on? Diane

Hi everyone, im wondering how everyone is doing. Ive been off the pill for 4 months after more than a decade using birth control and Ive experienced really weird symptoms. Right side discomfort that comes and goes, backache, muscle pain (leg, arms), cramps, ovulation discomfort, blurry vision, acid, anxiety, weight loss, Numbness, heart palpitations, problem sleeping, etc. Some of those symptoms have subside already. But some remain and I feel very frustrated. I feel very down sometimes and scared. Cant wait for this to be over and feel likr my old self. Keep posting please and sharing your progress. We all need comfort. Thank you.

I am experiencing all of these same symptoms. I stopped the pill about 3 weeks ago and have had mild pelvic pain and pressure. I'm not trying to get pregnant and couldn't possibly be for that matter. I've been to the doctor twice with concerns of PID. Every test thus far has come back negative. Reading this thread from people experiencing the same things has helped with my anxiety. I appreciate everyone Sharing their stories.

Hello,
My girlfriend is 19 and been taking the pill for two years and now is having the same thing now that she is off. She also stopped taking levora about 3 weeks ago and now she's having the same symptoms ; lower back pain , lower abdomen pain, trouble sleeping, and even passing urine.

Anyone actually have any of these problem subside ? Or is this a endless loophole where the only solution is to get back on ?

It took a while to go away... maybe 6 months? Since then I've been fine, periods are normal.

Hi everyone! I have been researching as well to see what happens after you discontinue the pill. I have been on my pill for 8 years. I just discontinued it, as my husband and I are going to start conceiving children soon. If you are feeling stomach pains, cramps, spotting, backaches, headaches, mood swings etc., it could be because your body is getting used to your regular hormones again. The pill prevents your body to ovulate, and you are telling your body to ovulate again, so it's rushing this all back to your body and trying to regulate it. These symptoms can be similar to pregnancy symptoms. Some people can get pregnant when they just get off the pill. If you are unsure, take a pregnancy test. If not, go ahead and talk to your doctor. It could be just getting off the pill. Good luck everyone!
