I have been put on both Zoloft and Remeron and I would love to get some feedback on this combo. I am interested in effects you got from mixing zoloft and remeron. How long did it take to get good results? Thx

Hi! I have been on Zoloft and Remeron for a month and haven’t reached the “good results”. I am actually thinking about talking to my doctor about chancing the treatment as I don’t feel so well on this combo. I am experiencing anxiety attacks and don’t feel like I have things under control. I guess, I don’t fit into your story of good results but that is my experience! Good luck to you!

I just started on remeron for severe depression which I feel was caused by Zoloft. The first 3 days were rough but after that I felt great for 2 days and now I feel like the depression black cloud is hovering over me. I may need a higher dosage but I am worried about serotonin syndrome. I work for the military and sometimes I am worried about their judgment. I can say that I am not as depressed as I was a couple of weeks ago. I was in bed for 6 days. I couldn't even get up to eat! I do feel sleepy...a lot, until it's time for bed. I end up taking kolonopin, which I use for anxiety, to help me stay asleep.

I have really crazy lucid dreams. I always have but now they are more intense and sometimes I have a hard time telling the difference between reality and my dream world. One thing to remember is that you have to keep control of your mind as much as you can. It's just the medicine side effects and will not be forever.

Good Luck!

I sure didn’t react well to either. Even after having dna swab to match medications to best suit how I metabolize them. Zoloft was supposed to be the best match based on this test. My anxiety worsened significantly, no appetite, over all horrible experience.

Thank you for letting us know your symptoms as I have been feeling the same. I have been on Zoloft (sertraline) for over 6 years And absolutely love it most of the time. I started on 25mg and currently at 200mg daily over a 6 year period. I was in a work accident about 2 years ago and the Zoloft seemed to stop working. So my physician put me on remeron 15mg oral about a year after the accident. I was fine for about 8 months and then it was like I hit a brick wall. I started hallucinating, dreams were hard to differentiate with real and my anxiety has been through the roof. I tried for about a week to cut the remeron dose in half and the side effects got worse. I was not able to get to the doctor for a couple weeks so I decided to quit all remeron. Now I have been going through withdrawals. Finally got to the doctor and said they would have weened me off but for the amount of time passed since I stopped taking remeron they said to just stay off of it. Now I have higher blood pressure, cold sweats, hot sweats, insomnia and waves of anxiety take over for a bit. It’s like riding a wave in my mind from happy to sad to no feeling for a period of time usually 10 minutes to sometimes for a couple hours. I do notice it is getting a little bit better each day but surely keeping up with the doctor this time to prevent these extreme side effect withdraws.
