Hello... A nodular density in the lung means that it could be a tumor of some sort, anything that is more dense than the lung tissue.  This could mean a number of things regarding your lungs.  The right perihilar area is a region of the lung.  The type of lung disease that may be related to it could be tuberculosis, fungi (like aspergillus), inflammatory conditions like pneumonia or bronchitis, or cancers.  It would be up to the doctor to read the CT scan and make the appropriate diagnosis.  I am sorry I was not of great help with this question.

If a 5 mm non calcified nodular density in the right middle lobe of the lung was found by a scan, would this be visible to the eye?
