Hi I'm 19 years and this month I started my birth control. I had sex and then right after I had severe pain. It felt like intense cramps. The pain was so much I threw up. Four days later i got my period but since I've gotten it the cramps have not gone away, they've been constant. I not sure if it's my period or if the sex caused this problem. I'm scared that this could be something serious, can someone help me please?

Hi there! A rough sex can cause occasional bleeding, but infection is a more common cause. Aspirin, blood-thinning drugs or birth control pills may also cause post-sex bleeding. I found that cervical polyps can bleed also when touched during intercourse. You should see your gynecologist to clear up the cause. Take care.
