I had a hydrothermal endometrial ablation 4 weeks ago. Once my OBGYN tied my tubes and began the HTA, she found that my uterus was filled with polyps. So she performed what she said was simialr to a D&C to remove all of the polyps.

Well, now 4 weeks later, I started my "normal" period...every time I stand up I have to rush to the bathroom to change pads/tampons (I'm wearing both just in case.) I have yet to feel any relief from cramps. Now that I've started my period, the cramps are worse & no OTC medicine is helping.

I called my doctor's office & was told that 3-6 months of normal periods were to be expected. But I definitely don't remember her telling me that prior to the ablation.

Is this normal??

I should hope this is not normal. I just had one friday and very little discharge to this point. Also was told there should be little to no bleeding. I had poylps to and one she was worried about. I have not hurt any. I was told nothing of bleeding only that there should be none after the procedure. My husband doesnt like because i had it he insist i made a big mistake and would not even go to the hospital. I pray that the horried stories are not in my future I want to prove him wrong so bad. I tired of bleeding.
